Men are called by God to be the spiritual leaders in their homes, to love their wives (if married), and to provide the primary leadership within the church. This high calling requires men to be passionately committed to God’s Word (2 Tim 2:15), to God’s church (1 Peter 5:1-3), to their families (1 Tim 3:4-5), and to honoring God in their career (Col 3:23-24).
Each year we hold a retreat to help us grow in our relationship with the Lord and with one another. These are excellent times of fellowship and in-depth Bible study. We have studied topics such as “the leadership of men in the home,” “Giving Christ first-place in all things,” and “how to study the Bible.”
Men’s Bible Studies
Men also meet together informally for bible study and encouragement at various times during the week. Occasionally, CCC offers formal studies for men. In the past we have studied Bitesize Theology by Peter Jeffery, “Men Devoted to Godliness,” Changed into His Image by Jim Berg, and The Exemplary Husband by Stuart Scott.
